1921 Tequila Reserva Especial Reposado - 100% Blue Agave, limited production, estate grown Agave from the highlands of Jalisco.
1921 Tequila is hand crafted throughout, copper distilled and aged between 9 and 14 months, and bottled only when the ideal flavor is obtained. 1921 Tequila uses new American oak barrels, perfectly toasted, and used only 5 times. When the barrels are used for the first time, the Tequila is aged 9 months, as the flavor is achieved more rapidly on a virgin barrel. The second time requires 11 months, the third time is 12 months, and so on. Based on these aging periods, you may be consuming a Reposado or an Anejo, but the product flavor is consistent. Rather than change the labeling each time, 1921 Tequila keeps the classification as a Reposado.
This product is no longer being produced by Casa 1921, but you may still find some 1921 Tequila Reserva Especial Reposado for sale in stores.
