Pura Sangre Tequila Anejo Gran Reserva is 100% Blue Agave and produced at La Tequileña distillery.
The name, Pura Sangre (Pure Blood) is used in Spanish to refer to pure bred horses, or what we would call a "Thoroughbred", thus the horse's head in the brand logo.
Native highlander and master distiller Enrique Fonseca employees unique technique with Pura Sangre, distilling earthy Atotonilco El Alto agave first in stainless steel alembic pot stills followed by a second distillation in copper pots. The tequila is both rich and balanced, with a distinctive agave flavour inherent of Atotonilco’s 5,200′ elevation.
