The Patrón Spirits Company announced today the Grand Prize winner of the third "Art of Patrón" Bottle Art Contest, an initiative encouraging artisans across the country to use Patrón's signature bottles as artistic inspiration for a chance to win $10,000.

Scott Innes of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was named the winner over nine other finalists with his entry titled "The Art of Relaxation," a handmade, oversized hammock that weaves together precisely 1,523 corks he collected from various Patrón bottles, including Patrón Silver, Patrón XO Cafe, and Gran Patrón Platinum.

Though it has been a closely-guarded secret among Mexico's most respected families and Los Bajos' finest jimadors for generations, a previously nameless, private label Tequila is being shared with the world for the very first time as Código 1530.  Fondly dubbed El Tequila Privado, "the private Tequila," by family and friends, Código 1530 includes a Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and "Origen," an Extra Añejo Tequila.  Código 1530 has enjoyed successful launches in Texas, Tenn., Colo., and Calif., through partnerships with prominent distributors, including Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits and Best Brands. The company will continue to roll out Código 1530 to additional states in 2017.

For the second consecutive year, Patrón is giving holiday entertainers and gift givers an added bonus for the season with the release of the 2016 large-size One-Liter Limited Edition Patrón Silver bottle.

This year's eye-catching holiday edition bottle was inspired by Mexico's rich heritage of art deco design.  It features a black and silver pewter label, intricately adorned with detailed geometric lines and the iconic Patrón bee. The bottle is topped with a beautifully crafted cork closure in black and silver that mirrors the art deco aesthetic of the label, and is packaged in an attractive and easy-to-carry gift bag.

Tequila Herradura has announced the release of the fifth Colección de la Casa, Reserva 2016 – Port Cask Finished Reposado, a reintroduction of their Colección de la Casa, Reserva 2012. Tequila Herradura Colección de la Casa, Reserva 2016 – Port Cask Finished Reposado is made from 100% blue agave, aged for 11 months in medium-char American oak casks, and then aged for an additional two months in hand-selected vintage port casks from the renowned Duoro Valley in Portugal. This process provides a complex body and extraordinarily smooth taste. Paying homage to the first of its series of small-batch tequila experiences, Tequila Herradura maintains its commitment to discerning spirits drinkers who appreciate hand-harvested artisanal tequila with the re-release of this limited edition expression.
