Galeru Spirits, the parent company of Talero Tequila, releases the following: A spokesperson for Talero Silver Organic Tequila announced today that Talero had been awarded the coveted Double Gold in the Unaged Tequila Category at the recently completed San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the oldest and most respected spirits competition held annually in the United States, with over 1215 different spirits entered from over 60 countries in this year's competition. The award exhibits further expert verification of the accolades the smooth tasting Organic Tequila has been receiving from independent critics reviews, mixologists, retailers and Tequila aficionados since its launch in 2011.

A first time entrant in this prestigious competition, Talero bested a host of world renowned brands. When Dylan Doherty, the creator of Talero; Tim Harrington, CEO; and partners Greg Manning and Cheryl Caruso sampled the first run of Talero they knew that its unique smoothness and fresh, totally organic taste was a winner as now verified at the SFWSC.

Dylan Doherty stated, "Talero is the modernization of tequila. Tequila no longer requires the lime and the salt or the 'grimace' after the first taste. Talero is a true organically sourced Tequila from 100% blue agave which is hand harvested and grown under the direct stewardship of Don Pantaleon Ozozco, an agricultural leader in Mexico whose Estate is located at the highest altitude in the Jalisco Tequila region. Agave plants that are closer to the sun produce more sugar -- resulting in a sweeter and smoother profile. Every step of the agave growth is handled naturally, untainted by chemicals or enzymes. We twice distill Talero Silver Organic which results in a crystal clear appearance and our use of American White Oak casks imparts the deepest possible taste which is crisp and clean setting us far ahead of other brands in our category."

Tim Harrington, CEO, added, "Talero has been certified organic by the prestigious Bioagricert which is recognized by the US Department of Agriculture and the European Union and is a world leader in the organic certification of beverage alcohol. In addition, all aspects of our Talero tequila production are overseen by Consejo Regulador del Tequila, a non-profit regulatory organization based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Years of careful preparation and planning made it possible to create a new brand of organic tequila, Talero, that stands alone at the pinnacle of quality and taste. Now with Talero's launch a reality and with the Double Gold affirmation of its superiority, we look forward to 2012 and the continued expansion of our distribution throughout the United States and overseas."

ABOUT TALERO TEQUILA:

PROCESS

Talero's organically grown agave plants are meticulously looked after until they reach peak maturity, a process that can take 6 to 12 years. The heart of the agave, or piña, is then slow-roasted in traditional rubble-works ovens, releasing the sweet sugars that lead to a perfect distillate. Talero's process is unique. Unlike other tequila distilleries, we do not employ commercial yeast in the fermentation process, which results in a cleaner, more refined taste. We do not use any toxic pesticides or artificial growth accelerants and practice certified-organic growth procedures designed specifically for the production of Talero.

ORGANIC COMMITMENT

The Talero brand is committed to being as eco-friendly as possible. We believe it is our responsibility to help create and maintain a clean environment, and frankly, we know it makes for better tequila. We employ only natural and earth-friendly methods, such as all-natural fertilizers. And we use absolutely no growth accelerants or chemical additives -- such as glycerin, fructose, refined sugar, caramel or food dye -- in our tequila.
