With nearly two decades of experience and a vast knowledge of the liquor trade in both the United States and Mexico, he has directed as many as 200 employees in companies earning revenues in excess of $500 million.
Mr. Vourvoulias's remarkable background includes his past titles of National Business Development Manager, Director of International Sales and Marketing, Business Development Manager, Market Brand Manager, and Trade Sales Manager. His knowledge of the liquor industry's complex domestic and international imports, exports, and sales is ideal for Pura Vida's Mexican-American market. His expertise in retail, wholesale, supply-chain management and direct sales ensures Pura Vida's clients and customers a continued high-quality ultra-premium experience.
Mr. Vourvoulias boasts an extensive background with well-known liquor manufacturers, such as Fortune 500 Brown-Forman Corporation. Until 2009, Mr. Vourvoulias managed Brown-Forman's second largest market, with over $365 million in revenue. He was also a vital member of the branding team for Tequila Herradura and Jimador during their market re-introduction upon Brown-Forman's acquisition in 2007. Mr. Vourvoulias has the ability to conduct business in both the United States and Mexico. His experience in the Mexican market includes management roles at both HEB Mexico and Ernest & Julio Gallo. Mr. Vourvoulias is fluent in both Spanish and English. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently an active member of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
