The manufacturer, importer, and owner of the intellectual property rights of KAH Tequila, filed suit on Friday, April 10, 2015, against Iconic Brands, Inc., and its founder and CEO Kim Brand in the United States District Court in the Central District of California. The companies behind KAH Tequila made trade dress infringement allegations based on the introduction into the marketplace of the Sangre de Vida tequila bottles, which the companies allege look identical to the KAH Tequila bottles.

Additionally, the companies allege in the lawsuit that Iconic Brands, Inc., and Kim Brandi have intentionally interfered with contracts and requested in the lawsuit that the court declare that Ms. Brandi’s claimed copyrights are invalid as a matter of law.
