Don Julio Tequila has launched a new advertising campaign focusing on the steps that Don Julio González took when initially setting up the brand. Currently two adverts can be viewed on the companies web site, as well as on their various social network channels.
Don Julio González began his tequila-making journey in 1942 when he opened his first distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Originally produced in small batches for his own personal enjoyment and to share with family and friends, his "Tequila Reserva de Don Julio" reflected the pride and passion that he had for his craft. As more people learned of its high quality and smooth flavour, Tequila Don Julio, as we know it today, was born.

The first advert is call "The Courage" and puts focus on Don Julio Gonzalez's dedication to put quality above all else, planting his agave further apart, giving them more time and room to grow - only harvesting the ripest plants.
The second is "The Revelation" discusses that the short bottle design was actually to encourage socialisation, allowing guests to see each other better across the table.
